Yay for DODO Bags!!! This past year I watched a documentary on the impact of plastic bags on our marine environment, in particular the number of sea turtles killed every year by plastic bag consumption. We'd just returned from a trip to Hawaii where we had spent time snorkelling within arm's length of these beautiful creatures, and it made me sick to my stomach to think that by using plastic grocery bags I was contributing to their demise.

I immediately purchased a small stash of reusable canvas bags to use at the grocery store, but alas, kept forgetting to bring them in the car when I went out. I'd be kicking myself every time I got home with another 10 or so plastic bags. I've finally gotten into the habit of carrying them with me, and on the rare occasion that I forget, I simply reload my groceries into the cart after paying and load them all one by one into my car!

Thanks for taking the initiative to tackle this global problem with your, might I add, brilliantly designed totes!

Hey thanks for the comment about the DODO logo, we think its a great way to get our message across.
I was at a couple of farmers markets this past week and I was pleasantly pleased to see people carrying reusable bags! We're slow to catch on but its coming. We took a trip around Colorado and gave DODO bags to the cool people we met along the way. What amazing friendly people we met. They made our trip a great memory!

What I love about the bag beyond the obvious, is the simple yet powerful statement of the DODO logo!! Say that ten times real fast!!! No one can see this bag and not realize that we all can and must to even a little bit to help the environment i.e. like take this bag to carry groceries or anything else!! Good Job!

Dodo bags. Very cool!

My wife and I use a variety of reusable bags. But you're right. It's very hard to get in the habit at first. Keeping them in the car is a great idea but once you've gotten used to it, you just grab them every time you go to get groceries.

Fortunately, Trader Joe's is one place that gives incentives to shoppers who bring their own bags (even if it's a Dodo bag for example and not a TJ's bag). They give you a raffle ticket for each bag you bring in to win a gift card. So needless to say, we've tried to make a point of bringing them in with us every time.

I'm so glad to see another company promoting reusable bags and more importantly, promoting reuse in shopping. I look forward to seeing all the other posts come our way.

Good stuff!
